How to use Macros in Microsoft Excel

Macros record your mouse movements and clicks and help in reproducing your work automatically.
The simplest way to create a macro is by recording the same. Go to Menu bar , tools and then Macro and click on Record Macro.
You can then give a name to it save at your selected location. Now all your actions are recorded in this macro.
For eg: Say you are formatting a sheet for the purpose of printing. Go to Menu bar , tools and then Macro and click on Record Macro.
All you do is set Print area, correct margins, header and footer. After doing these adjustments, click on 'stop' on Macro menu.
Stop appears from the time you start recording. Give a name and save this macro.
Now, if you have other sheet for formatting similar to the previous one, then all you need to do is to run this macro.
All formatting, adjusting footer and header works, setting print area are now done in one single click.
To run your selected Macro you have go to tools > Macro > Macros.
You can also assign key combo to macros, Something like shortcut.
Click on OK.
