Dear Adams,
Actually, almost all type of Windows OS installation have similar steps (eg: XP, Vista & 7). They are almost similar in a way that you will need to have an installer and you need to make sure that your first boot priority will be your CD/DVD rom or your thumb drive. Anyway, I found a couple of websites to aid you in installing your Windows Vista Operating System.
Formatting a hard drive is very easy especially for advanced users. But for beginners, I guess it would be a puzzle that requires a manual to follow. Formatting a hard drive can be done in 2 ways: from within the Windows Explorer or in Computer Management and using the command prompt.
Both methods are easy. If you have more than 1 hard drives, connect the hard drive to be formatted in your CPU then start your computer. In Windows, start Windows Explorer then right-click the drive you wish to format then select Format. See image.
Configure the format options on the next screen then click Start to begin the format. You should only check Quick Format if you only want to delete the entire contents of the drive because it is fast. But if you want a full format, don’t put a check in Quick Format.
Also, if you want to divide your drive into 2 drives, maybe you should apply a partition first before formatting the drive. Partitioning a hard drive is good to create multiple logical drives if your physical hard drive has a big capacity.
