HP Envy 15t laptop, how to save hard drive space?

I have an HP 15t laptop which has a 1 TB hard drive installed in it. The data on my disk is quite a lot and the hard drive is almost full, but I think I could save a lot of space by removing the unnecessary files. What are the methods to identify the unnecessary files? What are some good software to clean up my hard drive and remove the unnecessary files?

There are multiple ways of disk cleanup:

  1. Remove unnecessary software from Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
  2. Right click and select empty Recycle bin.
  3. Open My Computer and right click on your Hard drive and select Disk Cleanup, from there select whatever you want to remove.
  4. You can also clear your browser history for deleting the temporary internet files.
  5.  Find Temp folder in your C Drive and delete it.
  6. Also check download folders to remove necessary downloaded files.
  7. Right click on your drive, select Tools tab and press Defragment Now button and select the desired drive, where you want to free space.
