The HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not found

Dear All,

I have an All in One HP Pro 8600.It is a network capable printer, and I have been using it on three different PCs. Two of them are communicating effectively with the printer,and I have been able to print and the scan fine from them.

However when I use the third PC it shows me the error as seen below. I have reinstalled the software twice but have not been able to get past the issue.

 

The HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not found.

 

Any guidance would be great.

The HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not found

Hello.

Firstly check for the wired connections between your computer and printer. It looks like there is a problem with the driver or related software of the printer. You need to uninstall the driver completely from the system before you install the fresh copy. Restart your pc and then try to install the driver.

If the problem still persists contact customer support.

Hi,

First of all you need to check whether the computer failing to communicate with the printer has an ip address different from the others.you can also check the speed of the connection and try to interchange the speeds I.e 10 mbps/100mbps.The best way to check whether your computer is reaching the printer is pinging the ip address of the printer since you mentioned its a network printer.

Click on start, then run.On the box type “ping the ip address of your printer” for example ping 192.168.1.5 -t. If the ping replies, you know you can reach the printer but if it times out, its the otherwise.I am suspecting here the issue is within the connection.
