HP PSC1410 vertical lines keep on showing up on the scanned results

Hi experts, I am trying to scan a professional wedding photo but vertical lines keep on showing up on the scanned results. The machine I use is a HP PSC1410. I have tried changing the direction lines but they are still there. There are no photos showing. However, all the other scans are in excellent shape. How can I rectify this problem? I am stuck with ideas. Thanks for your help.

HP PSC1410 vertical lines keep on showing up on the scanned results

 

Hello there,,

There must be something fishy with on your document feeder glass. Here's what you need to do.

1.   Provide a clean cloth like that cloth used in eye glass or mobile LCD cleaner.

2.   Pull carefully upward the cover of the document feeder and cautiously discharge the roller stuff there you should find a segment of mirrored glass that is about half or 1 inch wide.

3.   Now with that clean cloth clean very prudently that section of mirrored glass.

4.   Put back the things into place and try scanning again

The scanner now should work just fine.
