HTC One X – new software update

The new software update, carrying the version number 1.28, contains some bug-fixes as reported by One X owners over the last two weeks.

This includes some graphical issues, better compatibility of the on-screen and the new Google apps, and a slightly tweaked auto-brightness level. The update also fixes a bug, which will lead to a 10-20% increase in the battery life of the One X.

The update does not bump version to 4.0.4. Some users are also reporting an improvement in the network signal strength post the update.

Owners of the unlocked variant of the One X can also try and manually pull the update by going to Settings -> About and then selecting the ‘Software Updates’ option.
