We all know that this camera look like a colorful asthma inhaler. It has a 16 mega pixel 2.3 inch CMOS sensor made by Sony. It can capture 1080p HD video at 30 frames per second and more over this camera is compatible with all the devices with Android 4.3 or higher. Is HTC RE camera sold for $100 at celebrative sale?

Maybe Yes, maybe No. As I tried searching for the official announcement from HTC official website, there is no indication that they are selling it as you have mentioned. Commonly with marketing strategies as this may seem, it is likely that this is their scheme to capture more market share in this ever growing hi-tec camera business.
