Anyone has any idea that what this file “msCMTsrvc” does? Last day I installed a new firewall in my system and all of a sudden it has started reporting that msCMTsrvc was seeking access to web.
Since it has ms in start of its name so I thought it is some Microsoft file but still I tried to search and found no link with MS. Now whenever I try to connect to net, the message window popped up that “msCMTsrvc.exe is trying to access to internet. ”
So can anyone please help me solving this problem?
I am having problem with my firewall
This is a common situation occurs with firewalls and can be mitigated easily. It’s about Content Monitoring Tool Service or msCMTsrvc. This error can be resolved by allowing it to access internet and resetting your firewall.
Just follow the steps below-

Click on the Start Button -> select Run option

Enter “services.msc” in this Run dialog
-
Double click on the service called Content Monitoring Tools, showing in the list.

Right click on it and select the preferred type give under service Startup Type to Disabled.

You have to end the running service.

Now restart your system so that the changes you made get effective.

I am having problem with my firewall
Hi,
This error occurred because of your firewall. msCMTsrvc.exe is a content monitoring tool service that dealing with services to make users to access to web page.
Please follow this procedures to disable it:
1. Click start menu then select RUN, type Services.msc then press enter, double click service (Content Monitoring Tool), right click and change service Startup to disabled and lastly, terminate the end running service.
2. Click start menu then select control panel, select Windows firewall then turn-off Windows firewall.
3. Select your firewall program then disabled it.

I have also faced the same problem earlier and I’m sharing that one with you. Have your attention on steps given below-
Content Monitoring Tool Service or msCMTsrvc.exe is affixed with sequences of Compaq Presario Systems. It makes users to have access to specific information listed on the web page.
This problem may be resolved simply allowing this program to access internet and changing the setting of your firewall. You have to use the tool services.msc to disable it, if you don’t want to utilize this Compaq service in your system.

Click on Start menu-> select the option Run

Type Services.msc in the dialog box for Run

You’ll notice that Content Monitoring Tools is showing and you have to double click on it.

Right click on it and change its preference type given under service Startup Type to Disabled.

Stop the service
This is the solution or you can follow the alternative one like the given below-

Click on the Start menu and type Services.msc

From the list choose the service Content Monitoring Tools, then double click on it.

Set the Startup type Disabled

Stop the service
