My desktop computer was fully turned off more than 45 days due to my job. But recently after receiving my home I tried to turn on it. When I pressed the start button, I was able to heard some beep from it. But no display in monitor. I then cleaned the RAM slot and RAM both. Then I tried several times to turn it on. I then replaced the RAM from my friends computer. But the problem remain same. Now I am not able to turn on it. How can I turn on it?

Leaving a machine unused for a long time means killing it. Machines are made for daily use. Anyhow you said that you hear a beep sound from your PC and you have checked with your RAM as well. I would advise you to check your hard drive as well plus you also check your motherboard. The beep sound occurs due to a faulty Motherboard, there might be some damage with capacitors or any jumper.
Check your power button as well, if you are able to turn on the system try using a bootable windows CD to reboot your windows. Hopefully it will work.

To solve the problem trying restoring the computer to a previous configuration by starting the computer and pressing on F8, click the option of last known working configuration. This will repair the computer if you did any changes. You can also try repairing windows by doing reinstalling Windows using the Windows XP CD and clicking on R when setup begins. This is going to help your computer to start.

If your computer doesn’t turn on after several months of not using it and the screen remains black, first thing to do is verify that the wall outlet where you plugged in your computer has power. If you verify that it has power, disconnect the video cable from the video port at the back of the CPU then plug it back in.
Start the CPU then see if it works. If this doesn’t work, check if the video cable is plugged in to a dedicated video card or to the built-in video card. If it is connected to a dedicated video card, transfer the video cable to the integrated video card. If this works, remove the dedicated video card and replace it with a new one.
But if your monitor is connected to the integrated video card, try using a different monitor. If the problem follows even after changing the monitor, it means you have a busted motherboard. When the problem is with the integrated video card, it makes the entire motherboard faulty. In this case, you need to replace your motherboard.
