“Invalid username or password” is the message I am getting on every attempt at sending an email from outside our organizations network. This does not occur when sending the emails from within the company network. Inspection of everything inclusive of the ports has shown that nothing is out of order, why am I then experiencing this problem?
I am unable to open email outside company network.
You should not add any IP addresses to the Trusted Network list other than your loopback address and the LAN subnet that your related server is on. If your users are authenticating against the your server when they login then they can relay anywhere without problems.

Hi Arcy,
Have you checked the settings for your email server at company? Many servers are configured in a way to prevent unauthorized data transmission. It is more strict for emails outside organization. Every user in an organization has a set of privileges set in an authorization portal that allows them to have certain permissions. You need to double-check if you have the permission to send emails outside organization. If you have been sending emails previously check for any changes in your email client and reset them. If it still doesn't work please contact your IT support.
I hope that helps.
Abe.

Hi Abe,
Yes you are right. I asked our IT/Tech support and they told me that they have set our server restricted from outside data transmission. This is their way of protecting the company's data property. And I understand. Thank you for the comment..
