Dear Cadeo,

 If your outlook express is not responding properly then first check your internet connection, check your antivirus settings and also check the incoming and outgoing settings of your outlook express.

If still facing the problem then re-install it again. It will really help you. I hope you got your answer.Otherwise,  please give detail of your modem and other minor detail.

Hello Cadeo,

To resolve the issue you are getting with outlook, you will need to try the following procedure:
Click Tools, and then click on Account Settings.
You will need to change your profile and then click on More Settings followed by Advanced.

In case you are using hotmail you will have to make sure you have the following settings:
For the Incoming Server: (POP3): 995 – You will have to tick the following: This Server require an encrypted connection SSL
For the outgoing Server: (SMTP): 25

As for the encryption connection, you will need to use the following type: AUTO Make sure AUTO is selected as this is what makes the difference

After that click Ok to finish, and then try sending a test email to yourself.

When you will encounter this problem like unable to send emails using your outlook express, you need to consider the following factors:

1. Check your internet connection, your network might not be working or you are disconnected.

2. If it is available, then check your firewall and anti-virus, they might have block your outgoing mails and may have been possibly carrying a virus without your knowledge.

3. You might have the wrong settings from your outlook express. Check your set-up, your outlook express cannot be able to access your ISP server because you might have other username, password or email address.

First of all open your browser to make sure your internet connection is working by navigating through certain website.

Then check your anti virus or firewall that it is not preventing the mail client (Outlook Express) to connect to the internet.

In the case if your Outlook Express is not receiving or sending mails from the day first then surely you have wrongly configured the account by entering an incorrect port number or server address. Go to "Tools" then "Accounts" and then at the top window click the "Mail" tab and then click the account you want to edit.

If Outlook Express has stopped working suddenly or is not responding from some days then you may have server issues from your mail provider. In that case for the time being use your mail portal which is like "webmail.companyname.com" and wait to use again your Outlook Express unless issue is resolved by mail providers.
