Hello,
I am using Windows Vista Business Edition.
When my computer was re formatted yesterday and re installed a license copy of windows vista business edition, when I am about to activate its copy via the Internet, an error occurred while on the process, it said something about DNS.
Error Details
The following information was found for this error:
Code:
0x8007232B
Description:
DNS name does not exist.
As I understand on the error, it cannot connect to the activation server of Microsoft, so I checked on my Internet connection.
Its running since I can browse the internet. I also ask ED, the service provider.
They told me they have nothing to do with it, since it a local computer issue. Please help me activate my copy of Windows Vista.
Any other way?
Thanks a lot.

If you cannot activate Your Windows Vista over the Internet.
This problem may occur if you are re-installing Windows or reactivating Windows, the activation process may not be successfully completed when you try to activate your copy of Windows Vista over the Internet by using the Windows Activation Wizard. To resolve this issue, you should activate Windows over the telephone.
To activate Windows Vista over the telephone, you can follow the steps listed below:
-
Click Start, Â then click Computer.

Click on System properties on the toolbar, and then click on Click here to activate Windows now in the Windows activation area. (You may be prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password (if needed), and/or click Continue.
-
The Windows Activation Wizard will start.
-
