I can’t open txt file in DeskPDF

I just installed Deskpdf professional with the drag and drop interface so I can easily convert my Word and .txt formats to PDFs.  When I launched the program, I could not drag the txt files into the interface.  I'm using Windows 8 and I'm wondering if this is a compatibility issue.

Dear Clinton Sina,
DeskPDF professional is a powerful software which supports many features including conversions and also has drag and drop interface. This is a very helpful utility but makes several errors which affect the performance of conversions.
First of all, you should ensure that your .txt file does not include any Unicode characters.
The second solution is by using the Open file feature in your menu tabs and then making the conversion.
