I cannot clear Firefox history

The error message I get when I try to clear Firefox history is: “Initialize in QuickTime has failed. ”  This prevents us from clearing our Firefox history and is annoying more than anything.

They don’t work what I have read lots of different things on the net such as do this do that, it is very simple to fix.

To get you up and running follow my 5 minute guide. I would request a right solution.

QuickTime Unavailable

QuickTime failed to initialize. Error #0.

Please make sure QuickTime is properly installed on this computer.

I cannot clear Firefox history

Hi there Abraham Adams,

I have some solution to fix that issue :

First option – Uninstalling Quicktime Program

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Chooses Quicktime program then click Uninstall > restart your computer.

Second option – Reset MIME Types

1. Close Firefox > Go to C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox > delete “npqtplugin*.dll” files (npqtplugin.dll, npqtplugin2.dll, etc.)

2. Go to Quicktime plugins folder (C:Program FilesQuickTimePlugins) also delete “npqtplugin*.dll”

3. Go to Start > Control Panel > Quicktime > Quick Preferences windows will show up > go to Browser tab > Click MIME Setting, MIME Types window will show up > uncheck all MIME Types > click OK than OK again to close Quick Preferences window

 

 

Third option – Check if Firefox program is set to Compatibility Mode

Right Click on Mozilla Firefox icon on your computer desktop > Mozilla Firefox properties window will show up > go to Compatibility tab > Make sure “Run this program in compatibility mode for :” is unchecked, if checked click check box to uncheck this option > click apply > click OK.

I cannot clear Firefox history

Sometimes people may face problem regarding clear the history of Firefox. But,it's an easy task. However I will give you the solution. To clear the history of Firefox first you have to press ctrl+h, then again press ctrl+shift+delete. Now Firefox show you the option clear browsing data. If you proceed then Firefox will delete the history file.

Hello Abraham Adams,

Here is also another way to clear browsing history. First, click the "Tools" Button then a toolbar option will pop-up. Second, click additional settings then click "Clear History". Lastly, click "OK".
