My production software is currently being re-installed after I have done a clean install of Snow Leopard. After downloading the Max/MSP latest 4.6 version, I have tried to install the software and got a strange error message. I am very curious about a possible solution because I never got this strange error message before.
Can anybody help me, please?
Error:
The installation failed.
The following installation step failed: run postflight script for InterLok Extensions. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
I cannot download production software
This is a kind of common problem some users are experiencing a ‘failed install’ at the end of the installation.
When this happens, Max actually gets installed ok; it is the PACE extensions that do not.
So, after finishing the Max/MSP 4.6 installation, you may need to do a clean install of the PACE drivers. First you will need to remove any of these files you are able to find:
/System/Library/Extensions/PACESupport.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/PACESupport2.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/PACESupportFamily.kext
/Library/StartupItems/PACESupport/
/Library/Application Support/PACE Anti-Piracy/
Then download and install the latest InterLok extensions.
These can be found at:

This should get you up and running with Max/MSP 4.6.
