I can’t add a printer in XP SP3

I am running XP Pro SP 3 with all the latest updates.When I try to add a new printer using start > settings > printers and faxes > add printer I get the following errors messages:"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Dear,

I have understood your problem and I have a solution for you. This will resolve the problem completely.

This error comes when window is going to miss the necessary backup files.

The recommended solution for this problem is to insert win disc again in cd-rom and repair windows.

Or if you have update windows then update again. Or the last option is to reinstall the windows with new window disc. May be your previous disc is missing the files for the printer.

Or you can also change the driver disc of your printer as well.
