Hi friends,
I am using a Bluetooth device, to connect to the Internet. I use Bluesoleil software to connect.
It has a user icon which is placed on the Desktop but I don’t want to see it any more.
I want to remove it from my desktop.
Though I can delete My Computer I can’t delete the Bluesoleil icon.
How do I delete it?
Awaiting for your help.
Cannot delete Bluesoleil Software Icon on my Desktop
Normally, you can’t delete that Icon from your desktop. If you use Shift+Delete, it won’t be deleted either. For this you have to edit your registry. You must login as an Administrator to do all these steps properly.
-
First of all write, “regedit” in the run prompt. It will open the registry editor.
-
From here you need to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
-
Then browse through SOFTWARE.
-
Then Microsoft.
-
After that, go to WindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpace.
-
After that, expand Namespace and look for a key named {6af09ec9-b429-11d4-a1fb-0090960218cb}.
But verify that the key's default value, matches with my Bluetooth Places’ default value. If it matches, then delete this key. Before doing that you must back up this key. After that, Refresh your Desktop by pressing F5.
The icon will be gone now. If you want that key again, you can’t normally do it.
You have to setup that software again.
But you can place a shortcut of that software on your desktop.
