Dear All,
Recently I've purchased an Apple MacBook Air. As you know that, MacBook Air has no Optical drive, but it has an option for remote DVD. So, I've tried using remote DVD. I inserted a disk in another Macintosh computer and turned on my Airport connections and tried to connect with another Mac, but it's not working. Is there any solution? Please help me. Thanks.

I can’t use my remote DVD in Macbook Air.
Hi Chowdhury,
Now most of the applications require an optical drive. Apple introduced a feature which is called Remote Disk. Â By this you can borrow a CD/DVD drive from another network computer. If you are using Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later then could you please follow the these steps:
First open System Preference from down your Dock After selecting dock you will find Sharing, in sharing pane you have to choose DVD or CD sharing. Once you enabled DVD or CD sharing then you has to launch Finder. After launching Finder you will find Remote Disk; select Remote Disk. There you are all set. Cheers.
