Provide information or ideas about miscellaneous database
A database is an organized collection of data which are usually arranged to model relevant aspects of reality [for example, the availability of items in a store], in a way that supports processes requiring this information [for example, finding the cheapest device in a store]. The term database is correctly applied to the data and their supporting data structures, and not to the Database Management System [DBMS]. The database data collection with DBMS is called a database system.
The major purpose of a database is to provide the information system [in its broadest sense] that utilizes it with the information the system needs according to its own requirements. A certain broad set of requirements refines this general goal. These database requirements translate to requirements for the respective DBMS, to allow conveniently building a proper database for the given application.
