Hi Experts,
I’m not sure what causes why I’m unable to access internet?
It started when I stopped my subscription on anti-virus and removed it completely from the system because I kept getting pop up notification even I already cancelled my subscription.
I’m using a dial-up connection and when I try to get on line it just giving a pop box “dialing”.
Before, I was able to access internet without security program.
Can you please help me to determine what causes it and fix the issue?
Any Help ?
Thanks!
I don’t know what happened to the internet?
Hello there!
So after you stopped your subscription on the anti-virus software you were using and uninstall it completely in your computer, you were not able to connect to the internet?
You probably left the registry value during the uninstallation process of your anti-virus. Here is how you fix the problem:
Make a back up of your registry key. This is very important because you might permanently lose data or will result to corrupted files if incorrect changes are made to it.
Go to Start > Run. Type in regedit and click OK.
Select the following in the Registry Editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesDHCP
There is DependOnService value in the right window. Double-click it.
Look for the SYMTDI entry from the list of items. Delete it and then click OK.
Click Registry and the Exit. Then Restart your computer.
