Hi everyone ,

I am facing some problem with my Printer. It’s HP four in one printer. Whenever I am trying to, print information from computer it doesn’t work. But, copy, fax and scan works perfectly. Please, tell me how I can solve this??

Hello Emimayer,

With this problem encounter about your HP 4 in 1 printer, need to do is isolate first the USB cable  or try borrow some extra USB cable because this may be some reason why printer won’t work due to some stranded wire inside the cable which are disconnected. Try to have a fresh installation on your HP printer drivers and know the exact version of it. Connect the cable in default port in your system unit, port used must be USB001. Lastly check the printer if it’s offline mode.

Hello,

Here is what you can do to fix it. First check if your 4 in 1 is even compatible with your computer or rather if it is OS or software issue. Then try reinstalling. Some error might have occurred during installation. Not happening, then Go the control planet and check in the hardware and device option if your printer is detected. If not then try changing the connecting cables. If all the steps have failed then it has to be a hardware problem.

If the imaging features of your printer works perfectly but not the print, check the application you are using if the printer is selected. Before you can print any document, you need first to configure the print section of the application and make sure your printer is selected. If you are trying to print with Microsoft Office Word, make sure your printer is selected in the application.

To check if your printer is selected, start Microsoft Office Word then press CTRL + P to bring up the Print dialog. In there, under “Printer”, make sure your printer’s name is displayed in the “Name” field. If not or a different printer is selected, click on the dropdown list and select your printer manually then click “OK”.

On the other hand, if your printer is not available among the options, make sure your printer is connected properly to your computer. Transfer your printer’s USB cable to another USB port and try again. Also, make sure your printer’s driver is installed. If you haven’t installed anything related to your printer then that explains why you can’t print.

The printer software has to be installed first before you can use it to print your documents. You can always download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. For HP printers, go to HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads.
