My DELL laptop is installed with Mac OS X through which I manage I am able to operate Microsoft Windows Media Player 9. While trying to save a video in .wmv format, I got the error message shown below. Any form of advice will be appreciated.
Vegas Pro 9.0
An error occurred while creating the media file MoeyCQ – Intro.wmv.
The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by dosing other applications.

WMV files works on a Window platform, but since you are using Mac OS x, I assume you are using a third party software like VLC player or Window Media Component for Quick Time (by Microsoft) to open a WMV file. If you are using Quick Time which is a bit heavy in memory usage and unstable then chances are you'll be needing enough memory(RAM) for it to run or never at all. Try using VLC instead, you can download VLC for free.

You will need to check the output parameter settings and see if they make sense or they don't. Vegas 9.0 has always has some human element errors, and therefore you will need to do the following:
-
First you will need to ensure that you are downloading the application from the manufacturer's website.
-
And then you will need to check the project settings that are being used.
-
You will need to render the option.
-
And then you will select the VBR.WMV coding which has limitation when it comes to video ration in the VV, and then divide it exactly by 4, so that in case you want to make it 16:9, then the default project setting that will be used will be 800:450. Since in this case cannot be divided by 4, you will therefore need to render it as 800:452.
