You answer is yes you can do this. You can do this if the HTTP network has been made accessible to the world if you are an outsider. If you want to make your server accessible then there are steps to follow to achieve this. But in your case it is very easy when the access of the domain is open to the whole world. It will make it easy to connect to the server with just a click. If it is because of an upgrade operation then you will need to ensure that in your Outlook you allow external servers to access your website.
