The 0x800408fc error occurs in any version of the Outlook(2003, 2007, 2010, or 2013), and usually is happened suddenly and without changing ant settings in the Outlook program or Network.

The steps to fix the 0x800408fc error are as follows:

  • Disable TCP/IPv6 Protocol.

Open the command box and type “ncpa.cpl” and press Enter. Click on Network Adapter and open the Properties. Uncheck the TCPIP/IPv6 checkbox and click on OK.
