0x80096002 error is a Windows Update Standalone Installer error in Windows 10 that occurs when the user tries to download Bit locker from the Microsoft Website. The error message code displays “Windows Update Standalone Installer; Installer encountered an error: 0x80096002, The certificate for the signer of the message is invalid or not found.”
