I Have Tried To Recover A Bootable Device; And I Face A 0x5b Message

0x5b error is an unexpected error that occurs while recovering a bootable device and also the chrome operating system is missing or damaged. The way to fix the 0x5b error is to recover the device using a flash drive or SD card, and it will work.

All flash drives are compatible, but some come with multiple partitions and even have proprietary software on them. They need to be cleared before use. The steps to clear it are as follows:

• Insert the USB drive into a working Windows computer.
• Open the Recovery application.
• Click on the grey icon.
• Select “Erase recovery media.”
• Go to the recovery image preparation.
• Power down the problem Chromebook completely.
• Unplug the USB devices.
• Switch on your system.

When the error screen displays, insert the drive and recover the system as directed.
