hello there Ms. Susan the reason why you are having those problems are
1. faulty memory card,
2. OS problem
3. or some program that is causing the memory to have this error.
if you are sure that your OS is stable. you should try this suggestion. first go to start and the cmd and type msconfig on start up tab. dis able all and just put a check on your anti virus. doing this will not affect your operating system you can undo this changes by enabling them again if my suggestion didn't work. hope this work for you and have a nice day.
I think the full error message reads something like “TouchED Retrieval of THotkey failed. Error code: 0x00031402, 0x00000002”. Since you are using Toshiba, it seems the problem has something to do with a missing keyboard hotkey driver. To try and fix the problem if you are using Windows XP, try downloading Toshiba Hotkey Utility for Display Devices.
Before installing the driver, make sure to uninstall any existing hotkey utility that you may have. See if it works. If it doesn’t, try downloading and installing Toshiba Wireless Hotkey Utility for Windows XP/2000. If that doesn’t work either, try Toshiba Wireless Hotkey Utility for Windows XP. These are all the hotkey drivers available from the Toshiba website.
Another user who had the same problem downloaded the Toshiba ACPI Common Modules and was able to successfully fix it. Try downloading this instead and see what happens. In case these downloads didn’t fix the problem, go to Toshiba Support Portege M200 and download one of these drivers from the list:
