I need Cab reader extractor without using winzip

Is there a cab reader extractor that does not use Winzip to extract it?  I have a third party .cab file that can't be opened by winzip.  Any recommendations?  Thanks in advance.

Winzip is not capable of extracting .cab files.

You can use tools to unzip but they are not so reliable. I recommend

7-zip (Free & opensource) which  can open cab files to view/extract. 7-zip can also open most of the compressed formats (including ISO!!). Info from their site

Supported formats:Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TARUnpacking only: ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, DMG, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MSI, NSIS, RAR, RPM, UDF, WIM, XAR and Z.
