I need to download standalone gimp installer for free

Can you give me some advise where to download a freeware installer for standalone gimp? I just want to try this software, I am currently using Mac operating system in my computer. I hope you can give me an installer that is compatible with my operating system. Links, details, information needed. Please help.

I need to download standalone gimp installer for free

Before downloading GIMP consider your MAC running a special program X11. If you don't have project X11 on your computer, just Download it here: http://roundhere.net/journal/install-x11-on-mac-os-x-10-4-tiger-without-dvd/ After downloading it save it your desktop then open the file click "X11SDK" let installation finish.

Then open the application and check the X11 button. After that Visit > http://darwingimp.sourceforge.net/ Download the GIMP version that is compatible with your OS.

Wait download to finish.

And that's it.
