I can't access files on my 1 TB Hitachi HDD as I'm having a Sector 0 error. I don't know if my HDD is corrupted or damaged. I'm trying to use Data Fast File Recovery 101 software to recover my files. Can I still recover the files even if my HDD is broken?

Hi Doriswneil,
The chance of losing your data on your HDD is very high if you ain't using the appropriate software to recover your files. Since your are still trying using 'Data Fast File Recover 101 software' try to be careful while carrying out the procedure for the recovery. Anyway in case of failure i have a software called 'Damage Copier' this software lets you recover data from damaged devices like : Flash Drive, Scratched Audio CD's/DVD's, Hard Drive (HDD), Diskettes etc
The good thing about Damage Copier it's user-friendly and it has the main window which you can access all optionsi.e. Copy files, copy the whole disk, copy image drive, repair damage drive etc
Go to : http://damagecopier.software.informer.com/#top
For future protection from encountering harm or having damage files, you can download HDDlife Pro this software checks the Hard Drive status like: disk health, volume serial number, working temperature, work time etc
Go to : hddlife-pro.software.informer.com

Firstly do you hear any unusual sound from the HD, the sound may be like the clinking sound. In case the HD is broken or physically damaged then forget to get back data from any data recovery software. These file recovery tools only recover data from a logically failed hard drive not physically damaged one. For them you need to opt for a data recovery service that must be equipped with a lab where the broken HDs can repaired.Â

If the HD is not broken or logically corrupt then please try some other recovery tool to compare results. You can also try Stellar Phoenix, Wondershare etc.Â
