I need help with FastStone program view photo editor

I just installed the freeware FastStone program view photo editor for managing and editing my photos on my Windows Vista system.  Why is it that I can only edit JPEG images?  Is there an option where I can edit BMP and GIF images?  Thanks.

Hi Dorothy,

Usually FastStone is program which works with many different types of formats.

 
Like you can see, this program can work with gif and bmp. But, there can be few problems.
Firstly, it can be a problem with version of your program. Some versions, like FastStone image 4.2, have registered problems with GIF animations,resizing images etc. I can recommend you to try update your version of "FastStone" to some recent version.  If this does not help, than you can try to reinstall program, or download some new version.
