Hello expert, I am using IDE hard disk on my PC. I need to format my hard drive and I have some important files to copy from hard. So I need an ide to flash converter cable to continue my work. Is there any possible way to copy without using ide to flash converter cable from my hard disk to flash drive?

Hi Mark!

You don't need id to flash converter cable in copying your important files to your flash drive all you need is a flash drive that can handle large files if you want to copy many large files. Just insert your flash drive to your computer then copy all files that you want to copy just simply select the file right-click then select "Copy" and paste it to your flash drive or you can just select the file that you want to copy press Ctrl + c to the keyboard go to your flash drive then press Ctrl + p. You can also drag and drop your file/s to your hard drive. Use a Flash drive with 16-32gb to make sure that it can handle too much files.

Well you can copy your important file to your flash drive without using any types of converter cable.

Follow the steps

  1. Connect flash drive with USB port of your computer
  2. Removable disk drive appears on your my computer window
  3. Double click removal disk drive icon then opens a new window
  4. Now select your important documents folder then press CLT+C
  5. Then paste targeted folder to press CLT+V.

It is a very simple way to resolve your issues.
