Is there a owa notifier linux in Ubuntu?  I need to receive emails directly in Exchange server as an alternative to POP and IMAP so it can be immediately delivered to me.

I've found just the right thing for you. Application is called DavMail and you can get it from this link: http://davmail.sourceforge.net/download.html

This application is available for Windows, Mac OS, Debian based Linux distributions, and other Linux distributions. On this link: http://davmail.sourceforge.net/gettingstarted.html you find list of ports and servers which you can use to setup your DavMail account. You have to check your mail settings in order to properly setup your account.
