I need tips in designing AirPort Apple router

I just purchased a used Apple AirPort that has a simultaneous dual band 802.11n wireless and Wi-Fi protected access.  I need tips in designing AirPort Apple router.  I live in a big house with every room needing Wi-Fi access so I would also probably need an extender.  Where do I put the router and the extender?

Good question Elija, however the basic info about routers is its availability and spread range, ideally they are good for 30 meters circumference in an open field. So the best thing that you would consider is how thick the walls in each room are and the settings of each room wherein as much as possible the router situated to be in the center.
