Hi,
I have got my old Nokia 6680 working again.
It has a TI OMAP 1710 chipset, 220 MHz ARM926EJ-S CPU and Symbian OS 8.0a.
I downloaded TTF font.
Where do I install them?
I need tips on how to use TTF font 6680.Â
I need tips on how to use TTF font 6680
Greetings Leonard S Lockhart,
To install a font on Symbian systems you need to copy the font into the right folder. By default, this folder is in "systemfonts" on all drives which are loaded during Font and Bitmap Server startup.
So,
1. Copy the font file to your systemfonts folder.
2. Restart your phone.
This will have your font installed on it.
I hope this helps,

Hi Leonard,
If your phone came with a memory card you can do the following:
-
Download TTF files from the internet or if you want to use the TTF file in your computer just find it under control panel and then fonts.
-
Look for the Resource folder in your memory card. If you don’t have one you can create that folder.
-
Then create a folder named Fonts.
-
Then just paste the TTF file to that folder.
-
Then you have to make 4 copies of the file and change their names accordingly.
nosnr30.ttf
nssb60.ttf
nstsb60.ttf
S60ZDIGI.ttf
-
Turn off the phone then put the memory back in, then restart it. This should actually do the installation for you.
Or You can also download an application that loads more than 50 fonts on your Symbian phone, find the link here.
