I plugged in different devices but still nothing happened

I need assistance!

I bought a new Vantec USB External 7.1 Channel Audio Adapter. In the last 2 weeks it is working properly. I plugged in an external hard disk with this nothing happened. I checked everything and everything is properly connected. I connected different USB device and nothing works unless I directly connect my device to my laptop. What could be causing this issue? Can you provide me a proper way to resolve this issue? Do I need to ask for replacement for this device?

Actually, it is difficult to pinpoint a direct reason with the information you have provided.

If the Adapter is not at all working, it can be a viral attack that causes the issue.

Also it seems that there is a technical error in your device. So, seek for customer support and try a replacement if possible.
