I recently installed Fallout 76 and I completed all required account registrations. The game runs smoothly on my computer when I play it for a couple of hours after installing it. After I finished playing, I closed the game and shut down my computer.
After watching TV, I tried playing again but the game didn’t start and displayed “Unable to verify latest before launching. Please check network connection and try again”. Need help.
I Receive “Unable To Verify Latest Before Launching. Please Check Network Connection And Try Again” When Starting Fallout 76
This error is normally an indication that the server is down for maintenance and this is normal. This happens on a regular basis on every online MMORPG games not only Fallout 76. The downtime normally lasts for only a couple of hours. This is the time when they usually patch the game for the start of new season aside from the usual maintenance activities.
If the Bethesda.net launcher indicates that the servers are online, try checking the following:
If the servers are up and you are still receiving the message, completely log out of the game and close the Bethesda.net launcher. Restart the computer then launch the Bethesda.net launcher again. Navigate to “Fallout 76” then click “Options”. Next, select “Validate Files” then wait until it is complete. If this doesn’t work, try to disable your antivirus or firewall temporarily.
Try also restarting your router. If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20). Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on.
If the problem continues, make sure to exclude or whitelist this folder in your antivirus or firewall: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda.net Launcher”.
