I received error message while installing VLC Media Player

Hi guys,

Look at the screenshot. I received this message while installing VLC Media Player. I have no idea about this entry point.

I tried several ways to fix it but failed. Please help me to install VLC Media Player.

Install.exe – Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point sfc_os.SfcIsFileProtected could not be located in the dynamic link library sfc.dll.

Hallo King,

If you are installing from a CD or DVD it is most likely that the CD or DVD is corrupted and therefore the data on it cannot be read properly during the installation.

You can as well try doing a Repair Install and see if that will help resolve the issue. Get more details on that here:

Hello Lopezs,

The installation problem you have mentioned it may occur if you install it from a CD or DVD or any error happens while downloading the file. In that case, I would suggest you to download the latest version of VLC Media Player.

There are many sites from where you can get it like you can check on filehippo.

You will get the latest version there then download it and try to install it again. Hopefully this time you won't get any error.
