The steps for the installation of ad tools on windows 7 are as follows:

• Open Microsoft Downloads and install Remote System Administration Tools for Windows 7.
• Now, open the downloaded file and click on yes on the Windows Update Standalone Installer Screen.
• Accept the license and install the file.

Now you have to turn the features manually.

• Go to start and search Turn Windows features on or off and hit enter.
• Scroll down and select Remote Server Administration Tools.
• Install the Group Policy Management by expanding RSAT, feature Administration Tools, and the check Group Policy Management Tools.
• Now, under Active directory tools: Under RSAT expands ad tools.
• Click on OK.
