Hi,
I want to create a Local Area Network or LAN from a set of standalone computers, what three pieces of hardware do I need the most? I am stuck on this one and your help would go a long way in solving my problem.
Thanks.
I want to create a Local Area Network
It is very easy to Create LAN (Local Area Connections).
These three things are essential for creating a LAN
1. NE2000 – Compatible Ethernet cards on a PCI or ISA port.
2. RJ45 cables.
3. A hub (Network equipment – The hub) (Box to which the RJ45 connections from the various network computers are connected).

There are some hardware those are required for setting up a LAN. Here is something you should gather first: Computer, Router or Hub, Cable modem, Microwave tower, Network card etc. It depends on what type of LAN you are going to set up. Wireless LAN need to send signals and LAN connected with cable send data through cable.
