Hello experts,
I want a free add-on English dictionary in Ubuntu. I am a newbie in this Ubuntu operating system and still on the process of exploring the compatibility measures and software tools used. Can you help me to get a free add-on English dictionary in Ubuntu?
I hope you can give me some suggestion.

You can try the Artha for Ubuntu. It is an offline dictionary that is based on WordNet.
If you are currently running a Debian or the derivatives such as Kubuntu, Xubuntu or Ubuntu, you can install it by typing the code below:
sudo apt-get install Artha.
