I want to turn the signature feature on/off in Outlook and would like to copy it to another computer.

How can I make this possible?

Also, I would like to send a mail to a manager without his Secretary / P.A from viewing it?

Can this be done?

Hi Charity,

Can you advise what version of Outlook you are using?

If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2007, you can enable the signature by opening a new email > click the Signature icon.

If there are no predefined signature, you can create one by going to Tools > Options > Mail Format > Signatures > then you can add and delete signatures.

You can also access it by opening a new email > click the Signature icon > choose signatures option.

You can directly send the email to the manager’s email and not to the Secretary.

Or you can try to encrypt the message by choosing encrypt option on the email.

Use the procedure below to turn the signature feature off in outlook.

  1. With outlook opened, you will need to go to the Tools menu, and then click Trust Center, and then click Add-ins.
  2. You will then need to view the add-ins and the application extensions that are categorized as follows:

    • Active Application Add-ins, which is used for listing the extensions that have been registered and currently running in your Office program.
    • Inactive Application Add-ins, which is used for listing the add-ins that are present on your computer but they cannot be loaded currently. Those may include the smart tags and the COM add-ins which are listed in the COM Add-ins dialog box.
    • Document Related Add-ins, which are used for listing the template files that which have been referenced by currently open documents.
    • Disabled Application Add-ins, this one will be used to list those add-ins that were automatically disabled for causing Office programs to crash.
