I want to use MICR font in web pages

Hello everyone,

I am doing a project of designing a web page.

I want to use the MICR font for web.

Where can I find it & also how can I detect which font is used on web pages?

Please help.

Hello Moses,

There are many websites from where you can download Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) fonts to use in your site.

I have mentioned few below-

Fontspace com category micr
Searchfreefonts com free micr encoding htm

To detect the font which is used in a particular webpage you can find it out just checking the HTML and CSS source code of that webpage. As a second way you can use tools to identify the font.

There are many web tools here.

Hello Moses,

Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) was introduced by the banking industry.

Most of the modern browsers support embedded fonts if you manage to provide it in the correct format.

You can also use css properties to define a MICR font and that particularly defined font can be used as any other font.

The link explains the font face rule and how to define a font.
