Ok so my request is pretty simple.
I have used Google Chrome until I realized it is not that great, and it can damage my PC.
It keeps freezing and on top of this, it uses a large amount of memory.
So I want TechyV support to tell me what is the best web browser with small CPU usage.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I want a web browser with small CPU usage for Windows 7
I found a site where they tested the CPU usage on the following browsers. I just noted some browsers so just decide whichever will be the best for you.
1. Apple Safari 5.1.7
Loading time for 10 webpages: 25 seconds
CPU Usage: Seldom dropped to 0% and remained between 5% and 20%. Max out to 66% while animating.
Memory Usage: 429MB
Open Processes: 2
2. Google Chrome 21.0.1180
Loading time for 10 webpages: 12 seconds
CPU Usage: 0-10% and max out at 80% when animating
Memory Usage: 370MB
Open Processes: 13
3. Firefox Engine(On Avant)
Loading time for 10 webpages: 19 seconds
CPU Usage: Seldom dropped to 0% and remained between 2-10% and max out at 81% when animating.
Memory Usage: 442MB
Open Processes: 3
4. Internet Explorer 9 SE
Loading time for 10 webpages: 13 seconds
CPU Usage: Remained on 0-10% and max out at 71% when animating.
Memory Usage: 342MB
Open Processes: 3
Avant Browser Ultimate can use three distinct engines such as Chrome, IE9 and Firefox.
So far, Safari has the lowest CPU Usage.
