I would like to inquire about integrating contacts in Apple?

I would like to inquire about integrating contacts in Apple devices using the Apple’s subscription-based collection of online services and software. The integration seems to work fine for the mobile phone but not the tablet. Is this a common issue or is there just something wrong that I am doing?
