Hello,
I have been trying to install almost all distorts of Linux on that server with no luck. Ubuntu doesn't detect my SCSI hard drives, Fedora doesn't boot from the cd, debian installer crashes. What should i do?
IBM eServer xSeries 365 Linux Installation problems
Hi,
The problems regarding Ubuntu doesn't detect your SCSI hard drives, Fedora doesn't boot from the CD, debian installer crashes indicates that all the partitions on your hard disk are mounted and you are quite unable to partition a mounted partition. However, it may not be a problem with the hard drives.
You should check the hard drives and fix it. You know that SATA detection is a normal stuff. You can get the information regarding SATA controller from "lspci" which will confirm which sata organizer you contain. If it is not ok you can also contact service provider of the concerned device. Â Â
I hope you understand it.
