Is iCloud billed with iTunes Store credit or MasterCard Credit Card?

I have received a reminder from Apple regarding the payment for iCloud. Apple has asked me to make payment of £7.49 for 20 GB storage plan using my MasterCard. When I already have £96 Apple ID Balance then why is Apple asking me to pay with my MasterCard unnecessarily? Is iCloud billed with iTunes Store credit or MasterCard Credit Card?

ICloud is billed with

 

whatever payment method you have set up as default. If you created your account ID with your Master Card and then added Store credits to your iTunes account they will bill everything to your Master Card. If you want to avoid this you need to delete your Master Card info. 

 

Earlier this year similar thing happened to me when I made In App purchase. After I received the reminder i just opened it and forgot about it. When I came back home from work Apple billed the purchase  from my Store Credit. So I would recommend you to wait a few hours.
