ICloud Problem Backing Up Messages?

I bought a new iPhone 6 and backed up my older iphone with icloud. When I went to add my contacts and files from the old phone to the new one. I found that my messages were not added to the new phone. Does iCloud back up messages? How can I add them to my new phone?

Hi, Stephen R Gates Am sorry to say this, but it only saves Images and contact details, but here are apps that do the job for you. Download them if you want am sure it will help you a lot. Also, you can back app all you MSG through your Google account if you have a Google drive you can save it there and you can open it anywhere. This link well help you HERE
