Idea 3G and 2G GPRS settings for Android
Hello Athan!
There are some simple steps in order to configure the settings for 2G or 3G network. When you activate Idea GPRS or 3G Internet, the phone automatically receives the settings. However, here you have the manual settings for you to set up by yourself.
Go to Applications, Settings, Wireless and Networks. Then go to Mobile networks and select "Access Point Names (APN)". Press the left button and a new menu will appear. From there choose the Create New APN option. You should now see a list of parameters that must be set in order to gain access to Internet. Write the name "Idea gprs". APN should be "internet".
Leave all the other fields empty (not set), until the MCC, where you have to write "404". On the MNC write "19" and leave "none" selected on the Authentication type. On the APN type choose "default, supl". That's it.
For the 3G broadband setting, send an SMS with "ACT3G" to 12345 and then you will receive a confirmation message from Idea about the status of the activation. To receive the settings for the Internet, write "SET" and send an SMS with this text to 54671. Then you will receive the settings, which will resemble the ones above. Follow the same steps if you want to change the configuration.
Good luck!
