I have a Pentium 4 motherboard that got damaged due to power blackouts, How how can I know the compatible boards with this one for replacement? I want to recover all my hardware components especially the processor. Do the boards have a part list number for identification? How can I get this number?
Identify Motherboard compatibility for replacement
Hello Jose,
Usually, motherboards' model are imprinted inside the board within the Memory Slot or PCI Slot. While some boards posts a sticker at the back of the board. Should these information are not available, I recommend that you get a new motherboard. In getting one, you will need to classify the things below first:
Processor: Pentium 4 socket 478 or LGA775?
Memorry: SDRAM or DDRAM?
Hard Drive: IDE or SATA
Once you know this information, you can now source a motherboard that fits your requirement.
